Points West Living Wetaskiwin

Bruce and Doug Mills, CEO of Points West Living

Meeting with Doug Mills, CEO of Points West Living at the Alberta Seniors Communities and Housing Association. Points West Living Wetaskiwin is the new long term facility being built in Wetaskiwin just off Inglewood Dr. The official sod turning will be in May and hopefully completed in early 2018.

It will be a three story, concrete non-combustable building. It will have 82 beds with 8 for couples. There will be jobs in the construction and between 80 and 90 jobs once the facility is completed (nursing, management, dietary, activity aids, rec therapy, cooks, etc).

This is part of our commitment to helping seniors with quality, affordable housing. $1.2 billion for new facilities and a 2% increase in the operations budget of seniors' facilities. Our goal is for more sustainable and stable lodges to keep senior couples together and seniors in their commulnities.
